Former Head of Operations for J.D. Edwards
to Advise Internet Technology Market Leader
DENVER – HyperSpace Communications, Inc. (HyperSpace®), a worldwide leader in the development of Internet acceleration software products, today announced at the FOCUS 2002 J.D. Edwards user conference, that David Girard has joined the HyperSpace board of directors.
“Dave’s senior executive experience in operations, product development, sales and marketing roles at companies like J.D. Edwards and Dun & Bradstreet Software make him a huge asset to HyperSpace. In particular, his background is aligned with an area that is a focus for HyperSpace today: delivering value to business enterprises using mission-critical software applications,” said John P. Yeros, HyperSpace Chairman.
Girard was Chief Operating Officer of J.D. Edwards World Solutions Company where he was responsible for a 4,000-person worldwide marketing, product development, sales and service organization for the leading enterprise software provider. He was also Senior Vice President of Global Operations for the Eastern United States; and Vice President and General Manager of the Eastern Area during his seven-year career with J.D. Edwards. Previously, he was with Dun & Bradstreet Software for 11 years, most recently as Vice President and General Manager of the Northeastern Region. He also held positions with Dun & Bradstreet and its divisions as vice president of product development, client services and corporate operations for Information Associates Inc.; director of Management Science America’s (MSA) logistics consulting division; and director and regional operations manager for MSA’s northeastern region.
Girard holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut, has completed the Columbia University Executive Marketing Management program, and is a veteran of five years service with the United States Marine Corps as an Infantry Platoon Commander.
