HyperSpace Makes Two Key Board Appointments

Senior Technology Executive and Former Accenture Partner Added to HyperSpace Board

DENVER – HyperSpace Communications, Inc. (HyperSpace), a worldwide leader in the development of Internet acceleration software products, has appointed Kent Swanson, former Senior Partner with Accenture, and J. Kurt Brock, HyperSpace Chief Technology Officer, to the Company’s board of directors.

“These key additions to the HyperSpace board of directors are another example of the strength of our leadership team,” said John P. Yeros, HyperSpace Chairman. “The broad experience in international consulting services and strategic technology arenas brought by these individuals will significantly add to the development of sound strategy and achievement of our business objectives.”

Kent Swanson
Mr. Swanson spent 33 years with the international consulting firm Accenture before retiring in 2001. As a Senior Partner he managed client service delivery for a wide range of industries and geographies; launched and developed Accenture’s global outsourcing business; led key B2B (business-to-business) and mobile commerce initiatives; and served as interim CEO for Exostar, an aerospace and defense industry e-commerce exchange founded by Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, Raytheon and British Aerospace.

Mr. Swanson has served on several company boards of directors and worked intimately with Accenture’s Latin American, Australian, Japanese and European operations in a global/managing partner capacity. He graduated with distinction from the University of Minnesota with an MS in Business, and received an MBA from the University of Chicago.

J. Kurt Brock
Mr. Brock has held various senior technical and executive positions in the high tech, satellite communications and software development arenas. He was a Partner at both Colorado Technologies and the Sturm Group/Ivention before becoming the President & COO for Multiwave Networks, Inc.

Mr. Brock spent the majority of his career at Loral Space & Communications (formerly Ford Aerospace), where he served as the Managing Director for Loral Cyberstar-Europe; President of the Loral Integrated Navigation & Communications Satellite Service; Chief Systems Engineer for the Space Systems Division; and Business Area and Program Manager of Loral’s GPS Tensor™ project.

He holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of California-Berkeley and both an M.S. and Ph.D. in aeronautics and astronautics from Stanford University.
